If you have a Shopsmith Mark V 510 and it has a dual bearings quill then these are the replacement bearings for it.
How to check the bearings?
A – With the bearings removed from the drive, check the bearing for any play,
You should feel non if the bearing is good.
B – Turn the bearing it should turn smooth with no drag for couple of turns.
C – If you turn the bearing and it spin and it keep on spinning it is time to replace it.
D – If you know that your shopsmith is over 10 years and it never had the bearings replaced it is time to replace them.
